ABOUT THE ARTIST
Denise's interest in drawing and painting began at the tender age
of four. She studied under renowned sculptor and painter, Nancy Proffit.
Through the years, Denise
has acquired many local and national awards for her work. But it was September 11, 2001, that tragic day in our
nation, that began her path of giving back to the community. She used her artwork as a way to raise money for causes
close to her heart. This continues to be her full time work today.
You can find Denise at many fundraising
shows throughout Michigan. The list of shows is continually updated, on her website; www.brushnup.com. She also has joined forces with local businesses, by offering her work for sale. Her home portraits and pet
portraits are the most requested orders.
As families continue to grow, so does Denise's artwork.
In mixing a tapestry of colors, given her unique style, she preserves those precious family memories. She is now
creating tribute paintings for that special someone in your life. In addition, she paints highly requested portrait
wedding pieces, for that couple you love. If you are looking for that unique gift, she also paints on pasta bowls
and personalizes them. Request are welcome.
